This #WorldPolioDay, we honor the journey of Scottish Rite for Children. Originally, the hospital was established in 1921 when a group of Texas Masons approached Dallas’ first orthopedic surgeon W.B. Carrell, M.D., about providing care to children with polio. Shortly after the introduction of the polio vaccine, we turned our attention to a wider range of pediatric orthopedic care.
