A Maltese puppy died after a woman was captured on video hurling him through the air and kicking him several times, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.Imania Davis, 33, faces six counts of aggravated animal cruelty in connection with the incident. According to an arrest report, sheriff’s office cameras recorded Davis carrying the dog by the scruff of his neck. Investigators described the dog as a 1-year-old male weighing approximately 5 pounds.
