This week, the Boise, Meridian, and Eagle Fire Departments joined forces for trench rescue training. In this hands-on scenario, crews worked to safely recover a rescue dummy buried beneath the dirt in a trench. In 2025 so far, the Boise Fire Dive Team has been called out to more than 60 water-rescue incidents. To stay ready for those calls, the team trains in every condition. On this early fall day, members practiced throw-bag rescues, swimming rescues, and team coordination while navigating challenging swift-water currents. Boise Fire battles house fire on Cole Road; Forced out of structure as chimney collapses

On October 27th, just before 8:30AM, crews responded to a rollover involving a gravel-hauling truck full of road mix at Gowen Rd and the westbound I-84 offramp. The truck was on its side with gravel across the roadway. Crews safely extricated the driver and secured a fuel leak. Fire companies, the Hazmat team, Ada County Paramedics, Boise Police, and wrecking crews all coordinated and performed exceptionally to bring this incident to a safe and successful conclusion. | Boise Fire Department
