Yesterday, while I was peacefully protesting with friends, an older man pulled over, took a machete out of his car, and began waving it while the light was green. He didn’t get out, but he made sure we saw it and then stuck up his middle finger at us. It was tense and unsettling, especially considering we were simply exercising our right to protest peacefully.
