Today in Rock History April 20, 1976George Harrison, a close friend of Eric Idle, makes a surprise appearance at Monty Python’s New York City Center show, joining the chorus of The Lumberjack Song dressed as a Canadian Mountie. His presence goes largely unnoticed by the audience. The following night, Nilsson attempts the same stunt but disastrously falls into the crowd, breaking his arm.
