Feast your eyes on one of the most beautiful grey seal pups we have had the good fortune to care for. Helena, rescued from Ronas Voe just over a week ago, has fully moulted to reveal perhaps the most gorgeous selkie coat we have ever seen. It never ceases to amaze us how the pattern of females with light coats and dark spots compared to males with dark coats and light spots keeps holding true. The one bright spot yesterday after the sad passing of both grey seal pups Robin and Buddy, was the arrival of this beautiful pup who was rescued on Orkney early last week by the team from BDMLR Orkney - Public - our first seal from our southern island neighbours this season.
