The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 469 mile scenic drive running from the blue ridge mountains in North Carolina all the way into northern Virginia. The drive is stunning during fall and is a must do at least once in your life. While visiting the blue ridge parkway near Asheville, make sure to stop and hike to craggy pinnacle or park at lane pinnacle overlook for sunset! Closures of the road can occur due to ongoing maintenance and weather, so it is best to check the official Blue Ridge Parkway website
