Oct 16, 2016 · I don't have a Blue Snowball. I have known a laptop not have the option, and it doesn't appear even on my desktop when I plug in my Samson CO1U USB mic. I guess in that case, the 'sound card' is effectively built into the mic and it doesn't support it. Sorry if I was being picky. At least the OP has solved his problem!

Aug 30, 2017 · Your mic is likely similar. (Windows 7) GO TO. Computer , Open Control Panel , Hardware and Sound, Sound. Click on the recording tab. Click on the your Mic, click on Properties, Click on advanced tab. Change the bitrate to 16bit 48000 Hz. Try some others. The usb mic has it's own amp and DAC so if might not support some bitrates and distort.

Dec 16, 2018 · As indicated by the red light, the microphone does not receive power unless the USB cable is only partially inserted. Fully inserting the USB cable into the mic. simply results in no data or power connection (again according to the red indicator light). This happens independently of the computer, operating system, or USB cable used.
Blue Snowball suddenly not picking up any sound?
May 19, 2017 · I went to drivers and deleted not only the Blue Snowball under "Audio inputs and outputs" but also blue snowball under "Sound, Video and game controllers" down below. After deleting both I unplugged the snowball then plugged in back in and it asked me to restart to finish setting up installing. After restart it worked again.

Sep 29, 2021 · I had the same issue and what worked for me was going to devices and printers remoiving the blue snowball and unplugging and plugging it back in, windows than gave me the message that it is installing the device. Another thing might be that it could be pluged into a usb 3.0 and im pretty sure the snowball only works with usb 2.0

Jun 10, 2015 · I also have a Blue Snowball Mic and a keyboard with Cherry MX Blue switches. Getting rid of typing noise seems straight forward if you are either typing OR talking. But filtering out the typing while speaking would take quite a bit of effort and could also result in taking away sound that you want to hear that is part of your voice.
