Nov 20, 2022 · Rogue typically absorbs powers, but doesn't actually undergo any anatomical shifts. That's why she didn't get claws. That'd be a pretty major reworking of her anatomy to allow for them.

Rogue does get Wolverine's claws when she absorbs his abilities, but she gets his original bone claws, without the adamantium. The bone claws can be seen in X-Men Legacy #235 (2010), when Rogue absorbs the abilities of several X-Men.

So far, Rogue has manifested Wolverine's claws and healing factor most often, but she has also manifested powers and features of Cyclops, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm and Magneto (in UXM #388, with Colossus

For most of the time, Wolverine and Rogue had a friendly relationship, with Wolverine even acting as a father-type figure to the younger Rogue. Still, one story shows them kissing after Wolverine admits he’s had romantic feelings for her, but the relationship never moved on from that point.

May 13, 2024 · Originally, Wolverine's claws were made to be coming from his gloves. Then it was retconed that he had a metal skeleton, and his healing factor was a retcon to explain why having metal adding to his skeleton didn't kill him.

So when Mystique copied Wolverine's powers she acquired the normal bone claws the Wolverine had naturally, but not the metal that coated the claws.

So wolverine has adamantium claws that pop out from his knuckles. When he retracts them, they would take up space in his hand and forearm. But adamantium is rigid, so how does he bend or move his wrists? Where do the claws actually go?
