Pasco Sheriff’s Office Explorer Club 915 provides the youngest members of our community the opportunity develop a positive relationship with law enforcement officers, through meaningful interactions and mentorship.

Explorer Post 916 offer three exciting branches: law enforcement, forensics and drones/unmanned aerial systems. Explorer Post 916 provides young citizens insight into law enforcement operations and opportunities to build a variety of important life skills.

To join the Pasco Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program, Post 916, applicants must meet the following requirements: Must be at least 14 years old, completed the eighth grade, and are not yet 21 years old. Younger than 14? Check out Junior Explorers, Club 915! Must be enrolled in high school, home schooled or have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Explorers gain valuable skills that will help them in the future, such as public speaking, time management and discipline. Originally encompassing solely a law enforcement focus, PSO Explorer Post 916 added a first of its kind branch focused on drones about a year ago.

Explorer Post 916 is chartered by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) and affiliated with the Pasco Sheriff’s Office. The program is designed for teenagers and young adults, 14 to 21 years old, to explore the career of law enforcement, as well as the fields of forensics and drones.
