The reason The Hulk is so angry, is because of his history with abuse. The Hulk is just an expression of his inner rage. It would also explain why Bruce Banner is constantly angry.

It's what comes after "I'm always angry" that makes it a classic. I always wondered how he managed to break into the pavement like that on landing. He should have just gone splat. Obviously it makes for a cool reveal but it doesn't really make sense. Unless maybe he was already at full Hulk density while still in Puny Banner form?
