Emil Blonsky was born in Zagreb (then part of Yugoslavia, now the capital and largest city of Croatia) and became a KGB agent who infiltrated an Air Force base in New Mexico where Dr. Bruce Banner was attempting to kill the Hulk through overexposure to gamma rays.
