President Donald Trump on Tuesday morning turned up the heat on the more than a dozen House Republican holdout votes endangering passage of the bill.

If passed into law, the bill would push 7.6 milion people off Medicaid, according to the Congressional Budget Office. Cuts and new conditions for SNAP food aid would save $300 billion over ten years. Trump's 2017 tax cuts would be made permanent, costing $2 trillion over the next decade.

WASHINGTON—President Trump turned the screws on holdout Republicans, warning they would pay a steep political price if they stood in the way of the multitrillion tax and spending agenda party leaders want to quickly pass through the narrowly divided chamber.

“Don’t fuck around with Medicaid,” Trump reportedly told House Republicans, but he, per multiple reports, quickly undercut that point by saying the bill should deal with “waste, fraud, and abuse” in the program. Boebert told reporters that Trump said to “leave it alone unless there is waste, fraud and abuse,” as she walked out of the meeting.
