Illinois is home to over 81,000 federal employees, making the federal government the state’s second-largest employer.

Protestors again rallied at the Illinois capitol on Presidents Day against the Trump administration, despite freezing temperatures. The crowd of about 200 marched in the street to the home of Abraham Lincoln. At a protest earlier this month, some of the same organizers helped draw a comparable number of demonstrators.

Hundreds from Columbus and across Ohio protested Donald Trump and Elon Musk on Presidents Day as part of the nationwide 50501 movement.
