Severe Tropical Storm #OfelPH has weakened slightly while moving north-northwestward over the Luzon Strait, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Severe Tropical Storm Pepito intensified into a typhoon on Friday morning ahead of its expected landfall, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.Meanwhile, PAGASA said Typhoon Ofel weakened into a severe tropical storm.

The center of TS "Ofel" was estimated based on all available data at 950 km east of southeastern Luzon (13.8°N, 133.0°E).
