Police have arrested a man who hijacked a TriMet bus and holed up inside, leading to an hours-long standoff near Downtown Portland.

A man fired shots near Northwest Fifth Avenue and Glisan Street just after noon Wednesday and then barricaded himself inside a TriMet bus, police say. Police spokesperson Terri Wallo Strauss said the suspect was currently alone inside the bus, and had dropped the gun out an open window.
