High temperatures will only top out in the high teens as arctic cold temperatures invade the Eastern half of Colorado. Wind chills will reach as low as 25 below on the Eastern Plains. Wind chill temperatures are what it feels like on a person's skin.

The Park Range of northern Colorado’s Rocky Mountains could see more than 2 feet of snow accumulate by 5 a.m. Tuesday, forecasters said.

Another Arctic blast and several chances of light snow are expected in Denver early next week. Moderate to heavy mountain snow begins Sunday afternoon.

Although metro Denver and the plains will not see much snowfall, Pinpoint Weather is tracking accumulating snow in the high country for the weekend, starting late Friday night and through Saturday.

Temperatures fell below freezing at about 5 p.m. on Sunday and are expected to stay there until around 11 a.m. Friday, putting Denver on track to see nearly 115 hours of frigid temperatures.

Denver officially set a new daily record low temperature on Wednesday morning and a few more inches of snow is likely Thursday night.

A major winter storm will continue in the mountains through Saturday and a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day is issued as the Denver weather forecast does feature a chance to see light snow Saturday afternoon with minor accumulations possible.
