Authorities have now identified the three people who went missing in the water near Rattlesnake Falls in Soda Springs. The Placer County Sheriff's Office said a group of six men was hiking in the area.

On Saturday, volunteer diver Juan Heredia from Stockton hiked for three hours on a remote trail in the Sierra Nevada, through hail and stormy conditions, and recovered the bodies of three men who drowned last week at Rattlesnake Falls, near Soda Springs.

The bodies of three men who went missing on Wednesday after jumping into Rattlesnake Falls have been recovered, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.
