The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is warning people about a text message scam mimicking communications from the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.

Officials with the state’s actual agency, the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, said they have not used the DMV moniker for more than two decades.
