Mount's increasing role at Man Utd
When Mason Mount signed for Manchester United in summer 2023, he arrived as a recent Champions League winner, an established England international and with the talent to take Erik ten Hag's side to the next level. It has not quite worked out like that – a procession of injuries derailing the first two seasons of his United career.
Mount has now worked his way back into Amorim's side, and he's starting to flourish. The English midfielder has scored twice in United's last four games, including a winner against Crystal Palace, taking his total to three goals in eight starts for United this term.
It might be slim pickings on Boxing Day, because of woke, but it's still a great big bumper Christmas Weekend of football upon which to feast.
