Gov. Kathy Hochul delivered her annual State of the State speech at the Empire State Plaza in Albany on Tuesday. The annual address by the governor sets her priorities for the legislative session and included a multitude of spending proposals that she would like included in the state budget or made priorities in this year’s legislative session.

The governor responded to a rash of violent incidents on the city’s subway system by announcing the deployment of police officers to every single overnight train for the next six months.
