A federal judge has dismissed California's lawsuit challenging President Donald Trump's tariffs, paving the way for the case to be transferred to the Court of International Trade.

But the court left open a path for state officials to appeal to the liberal-leaning U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The judges from the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled to strike down many of President Trump's sweeping global tariffs.
