A Brazilian tourist who fell down a ravine at an Indonesian volcano popular with hikers has been found dead, the Brazilian government and Indonesia’s rescue agency said Tuesday, after a days-long search and rescue effort.

Brazil's government says that a young Brazilian hiker who had plunged hundreds of meters from the ridge of a towering Indonesian volcano and was trapped there for almost four days has been found dead.

Indonesian officials said it took rescuers at least five hours to retrieve Juliana Marins, the Brazilian tourist who fell down a ravine at Mount Rinjani on Lombok island.
