After two days of high-level talks in Geneva, the United States and China agreed to substantially lower their tariffs for 90 days while they pursue new terms of trade.

President Donald Trump on May 12 announced that the U.S. and China had agreed to lower the escalating tariff rates on trade for the next 90 days.

The conflict virtually halted $600 billion in annual trade between the two countries.
