Flavio Briatore is back in charge of a Formula One team after Oliver Oakes resigned as Alpine team principal on Tuesday.

Alpine announced Tuesday that Oliver Oakes resigned from his position as team principal, which was accepted by the team with immediate effect. Flavio Briatore, the team’s executive advisor, will assume Oakes’ responsibilities while continuing his advisory duties.
