Manchester United will have to raise their bid for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, with the Bees said to be holding out for a deal similar to the Red Devils’ purchase of Matheus Cunha earlier this summer.

Man Utd have lodged a new and improved bid for Mbeumo that guarantees Brentford a greater up-front fee, and Romano has delivered a positive update for the Red Devils

The 25-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Brentford, who do have the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
