CINCINNATI — The Bearcats got a week break between games before Nicholls State comes to town on Friday night. It should be another domination by the Bearcats, even without Dan Skillings Jr. in the fold due to injury.

For driving the 100 or so miles to the University of Cincinnati, Morehead State was rewarded a healthy game check and its second sound defeat at the hands of a high-major basketball program Friday. The Cincinnati Bearcats are 2-0 after downing the Eagles 83-56 in front of 10,604 at Fifth Third Arena.

The Bearcats basketball team and head coach Wes Miller released a statement on Dan Skillings' "week-by-week" injury status on Tuesday. Skillings underwent a knee procedure this week that will sideline him for some time.

Coach Wes MIller's No. 17 University of Cincinnati Bearcats basketball team will be without Dan Skillings Jr. for a while. The junior swingman had 17 points and 11 rebounds in UC's opener vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The next day, he came in for a video review and his knee was swollen. He sat out the Morehead State win.
