Apple announced a partnership with OpenAI last year to integrate ChatGPT across its products. Musk responded to the announcement by threatening to ban Apple products at his companies. Grok is a rival AI offering to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Alphabet unit Google’s Gemini, among others.

Sam Altman, the Chief Executive Officer of OpenAI, accused Musk of manipulating the X platform to benefit his company. "This is an extraordinary claim, given what I've heard about Elon's efforts to manipulate X for his own benefit," Altman wrote in his post on X.

The billionaire said in posts on X that the consumer tech giant was violating antitrust laws by giving preferential treatment to OpenAI on the App Store.
