Numerous stories shared since late 2024 have suggested that current Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson "never saw eye-to-eye" and "weren’t exactly the best of friends" as the Jets struggled through a 5-12 season with Rodgers in the lineup.

When it came to the Steelers, Rodgers was happy to share exactly why he chose to sign with the team. Two people in particular were the major reasons for his decision. One of those people is none other than head coach Mike Tomlin.

Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers finally signed with the Steelers in early June, ending months of speculation about if and where he would play in the NFL in 2025. Rodgers appeared on The Pat McAfee Show earlier this week and shared that there were a couple of people in particular who played a large role in him landing in Pittsburgh.
