Presidents Day is Monday, Feb. 17, 2025. The name Presidents Day became the unofficial name with the changing the date of the holiday, according to the National Archives. With the holiday moved to the third Monday in February, it falls between President Lincoln and Washington's birthdays, giving rise to the celebration of multiple presidents.

Originally a celebration of President George Washington’s birthday, in 1968 the holiday was adapted to also honor the birth of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln and moved to the third Monday in February.
