Presidents Day is Monday, Feb. 17, 2025. The name Presidents Day became the unofficial name with the changing the date of the holiday, according to the National Archives. With the holiday moved to the third Monday in February, it falls between President Lincoln and Washington's birthdays, giving rise to the celebration of multiple presidents.

Los Angeles city and county, national and state — and superior courts, libraries and schools are closed for the Presidents Day federal holiday. The federal government, by the way, uses the term Washington’s Birthday for Presidents Day.
