The Vancouver Canucks have fallen from the penthouse they lived in last season, but they shouldn't look at firing Tocchet to get back there.

The Vancouver Canucks need more from J.T. Miller. In the midst of the Western Conference’s playoff race, and one season removed from pacing the squad and finishing ninth league-wide with 103 points, Miller’s game has taken a dip in 2024-25.

It’s been an interesting season for J.T. Miller. From a leave of absence, to trade rumors, to on-ice struggles, Miller has been through a lot with the Vancouver Canucks. Rick Tocchet addressed Miller’s struggles and was blunt about how the veteran forward could be better.

TSN NHL insider Chris Johnston reported that the Vancouver Canucks have determined that if one of forwards JT Miller or Elias Pettersson has to be removed from their team via trade, it’ll be Miller who walks the plank.
