A lawsuit filed Wednesday says the artificial intelligence (AI) start up Anthropic has been using personal data of Reddit users to train it's AI models, according to a report from CNBC. Reddit is a social media platform and aggregation site where users can engage in a variety of topics, pose questions, and get answers from other users.

Reddit has filed a lawsuit against AI startup Anthropic, accusing it of unlawfully scraping user-generated content to train its AI models without a licensing agreement, escalating the conflict over data rights and ethical AI development in the tech industry.

Reddit is suing artificial intelligence startup Anthropic for what it’s calling a breach of contract and for engaging in “unlawful and unfair business acts” by using the social media company’s platform and data without authority.
