It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for Operation Hope & Caring, which is a fund available to the 12 schools in the Sioux Falls School District most affected by poverty.
Inspired by former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Sunday's event was part of the "Encounters with History" series, which explores themes from Gettysburg's past.
