Boldy, who will be 24 by the time the NHL playoffs begin, was the Wild’s first-round pick, 12th overall, in the 2019 NHL draft and played at Boston College before turning professional.

Boldy, 21, was drafted 12th overall in 2019 by Minnesota, having played college hockey with Boston College. He burst into the NHL last season with 39 points in 47 games, including 15 goals.

Of his four seasons with the Wild, this hasn’t been Boldy’s flashiest. A first-round draft pick out of Boston College, he had 15 goals as a rookie in barely half a season.
