A school bus driver has told a court the speed limit was “too low” in his bid to overturn a licence suspension for speeding.

A Sunrise Beach man who was accused of driving a school bus while he was drunk is facing more than two dozen more charges.

One of the crashes involved a bus from Wheatmore High School. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol said troopers responded to a single-vehicle bus crash on Kennedy Road near Millers Mill Road.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) said the crash occurred at 5:56 p.m. Wednesday near 1541 W Jackson Blvd.
