BATON ROUGE, La. ( WAFB /Gray News) - A decorated police sergeant in Louisiana died in a hospital after officials said a man rammed into his police motorcycle as he was heading home from a shift.

Fifteen nurses have been fired at a Washington state children’s hospital after a 12-year-old girl died by suicide at the facility where she was advised to have 24-hour supervision.

Track workers removed the 53-year-old from the car, and an ambulance took him to a hospital, after which he died.
