Roy Haynes, one of the world’s most influential jazz drummers, has died at age 99. Haynes passed away in Nassau County, New York following a brief illness, his daughter Leslie Haynes-Gilmore told the New York Times in an article published Tuesday.

Renowned jazz drummer Roy Haynes has passed away at the age of 99. Haynes collaborated with numerous other jazz musicians in his career which spanned 70 years. He’s fonly known as “Snap Crackle” among fans and in jazz music circles.
