ONA bureaucrats responded to the rebuke by the rank and file during the last vote by doubling down on their efforts to starve nurses into submission.

The latest deal includes raises that apply retroactively for nurses whose contracts expired before December, according to The Oregonian. Under the deal, nurses at Providence Portland and Seaside will get a ratification bonus of $1,750.

Unionized nurses at eight Providence hospitals around Oregon have voted to ratify their contract, ending their historic strike on Monday. Providence confirmed Tuesday that nurses will be back at work starting Wednesday evening.
