Anthony Edwards scored 44 points, including 18 during Minnesota’s franchise-record, 52-point third quarter, and the Timberwolves beat the Memphis Grizzlies 141-125 on Thursday night in a game between teams fighting to avoid the play-in tournament.

This will be the first time the Grizzlies will play the Timberwolves without Jaylen Wells in their lineup. Wells, who broke his wrist in Tuesday's game, is usually assigned the top perimeter scorer from the opposing team. He guarded Anthony Edwards in the Grizzlies' previous meetings against Minnesota.
