Big Brother 27's already off to the races with one of the show's most dramatic alumni in the game, & now houseguests are hijacking the veto meetings.

Big Brother contestant Isaiah "Zae" Frederich is facing criticism online after using an ableist slur during the live feed. The incident reportedly happened late at night while Zae was playing chess with fellow contestant Keanu Soto, according to TMZ. After losing a few pieces on the board, he blurted out the slur.

Big Brother season 27 started on July 10, 2025. The initial episodes gave an insight into the 16 houseguests of the season.

As previously mentioned, Zae used the slur during a game of chess, saying “Oh, shit, I’m a fucking [R-word].” He then corrected himself saying, “Damn, I shouldn’t say that word.” Keanu responded, “No, you shouldn’t.”
