It would seem Mariah Carey is just a bit spacey, since the diva extraordinaire missed some pretty big news recently in the worlds of both pop culture and science.

Pop icon Mariah Carey was asked if she’d consider doing her own Katy Perry-esque suborbital flight to space, and her response suggested that real divas like her don’t need outer space to be great. Carey was speaking to BBC Radio 2’s the Scott Mills Breakfast Show to promote her forthcoming album Here For it All,

Though Mimi missed it, Perry's journey to space was widely publicized this past spring. She was one of several women who flew approximately 62 miles above Earth on a rocket trip organized by Jeff Bezos' space tech company, riding the line between the atmosphere and outer space before coming back down after about 10 minutes.
