Fifteen people were killed in Israeli strikes on residential buildings in Damascus on Thursday, Syrian state media reported, and Israel said the attacks targeted military sites and the headquarters of the Islamic Jihad group.

Attacks blamed on or claimed by Israel have intensified in Syria, including in areas near the Lebanese border mainly targeting bastions of the Lebanese movement Hezbollah.

DUBAI - Israel carried out attacks on the Mazzeh suburb of Damascus on Friday, Syrian state news agency SANA said, a day after a wave of deadly strikes on what Israel said were militant targets in the Syrian capital.
