A court in Hong Kong adjourned a national security trial hearing of media mogul Jimmy Lai on Friday, due to concerns about his health, after his defense said he had been experiencing heart palpitations.

A court hearing for jailed Hong Kong media mogul Jimmy Lai was postponed on Thursday due to bad weather, further lengthening a national security trial that began in 2023.The judiciary said Thursday that those due to attend postponed hearings should return on Friday.

The trial of Jimmy Lai, Hong Kong media mogul, are postponed for a few days due to issues with the 77-year-old's heart. Closing arguments are set for Monday.
