The host Florida Panthers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs, 2-0, to even their second-round playoff series on Sunday night.
Sergei Bobrovsky gave up five goals in Game 1 against Toronto. Gave up four more in Game 2. Gave up four again in Game 3. Those numbers aren’t great.
The Stars and Jets will be back at it on Tuesday in Game 4 in Dallas. The Panthers defended home ice for the second game in a row. Florida received goals from Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett as well as 22 saves from Sergei Bobrovsky to move level with the Maple Leafs.
The final seconds of Game 4 between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Florida Panthers turned chaotic when Max Domi drilled Aleksander Barkov from behind, sending the Panthers captain head first into the boards.
Florida took 21 of the first 26 shots on net in Game 4, simply controlling play for long stretches and keeping all the action in front of Leafs goalie Joseph Woll.
