The San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers have found themselves in a tight race in the NL West. The Padres came into Dodger Stadium on Friday night with a one-game lead over the Dodgers.

Padres catcher Freddy Fermin crashed into the padded railing in front of the camera well next to San Diego's dugout trying to make a foul catch on Andy Pages. Fermin hit the railing with his chest and the ball was jarred loose. He stayed in the game.

Clayton Kershaw allows just two hits in six innings and the bullpen makes the lead stand up over the final three innings in a 3-2 win, as the Dodgers regain a share of first place.
