The woman they call Paige “buckets” Bueckers made her first appearance in a Dallas Wings uniform on Friday night in South Bend, Indiana. Bueckers, the Wings’ No. 1 overall draft pick in this spring’s WNBA draft, showed flashes of why she’s one of the most highly anticipated prospects in WNBA history.

Paige Bueckers raised the expectations and excitement level for the Dallas Wings and their fans many months before she was even drafted by the WNBA team.

Kurt Miller was brought in as the new general manager in November. A veteran of the WNBA, Miller had head coaching experience with the Los Angeles Sparks and Connecticut Sun. He was also voted the WNBA executive of the year in 2017 and is a two-time coach of the year honoree in the league.
