A sluggish first half provided the Mount Desert Island High boys' basketball team with the wake-up call it needed that the postseason had arrived.
Led by Matt Rogers' 22 points, the American Eagles defeated the Loyola (MD) Greyhounds 72-51. The Eagles improved to 17-10 with the victory and the Greyhounds fell to 10-15.
