India's Vodafone Idea on Sunday concluded a $3.6 billion deal with mobile and network manufacturers Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung for supply of equipment over a period of three years, it said in a statement to exchanges.

Vodafone Idea has signed a massive $3.6 billion deal with global telecom equipment giants Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung.

Vodafone Idea stated that supplies under the new contract will start coming next quarter, emphasising that expanding 4G coverage continues to be its highest priority.

The company has continued with its existing long-term partners, Nokia and Ericsson, and has onboarded Samsung as a new partner.

Loss-making telco Vodafone Idea has awarded Rs 30,000 crore worth of contracts to Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung to supply 4G and 5G network equipment for the next three years.

Vodafone Idea has signed contracts worth Rs 30,000 crore with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung as part of its Rs 55,000 crore capex plan. The investment aims to expand 4G coverage and launch 5G services in India.

Debt-ridden telecom company Vodafone Idea has signed a massive $3.6 billion (Rs 30,000 crore) deal with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung to supply network equipment over the next three years. The agreement was announced on September 22 through a regulatory filing.
