Maryland National Capital Park Police and the Prince George's County Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition Friday.

Prince George’s County Fire and EMS (PGFD) said a firefighter was injured as crews battled a house fire in Piscataway on Thursday afternoon. Crews said that at about 2:55 p.m., they were sent to a working fire in the 14000 block of Livingston Rd.

Five adults and two children were displaced in the fire, which happened in Clinton, Md at around 6 p.m., according to Prince George's County Fire.

If Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks waits to give up her current job, her successor would be chosen from among the county council.

Police in Prince George’s County are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting on Wednesday. The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said that around noon on Oct. 30, officers were called to the 13300 block of Burleigh Street in Upper Marlboro for a shooting.

A Prince George's County firefighter was taken to the hospital on Thursday after a mansion caught on fire in Piscataway. The fire was burning so intensely inside the house that firefighters had to move their efforts outside.
